Description

The listing, BRAUN EPILATOR SE 5280 Silk Epil 5 has ended.

Ditch your razor!

This was purchased brand new by me & used ONCE. I realized that an epilator is not for me. It has been cleaned and sanitized with alcohol.

It has 2 speeds and a built in light to help you see what you're doing. There is the epilator head and 2 guard pieces to choose from. There is also a trimmer attachment that I never even used.

It will come with everything in the first picture including the carrying pouch & cleaning brush.

Check Amazon - it gets great reviews!

How can you make the most of your legs? Admittedly, you can't change the length of your legs. But legs with smooth and silky skin is now a beauty ideal for more and more women. Don't we all dream of them? Braun Silk-epil gently removes hair at the root, so that the skin stays silky smooth for weeks, not days. The Braun Silk-epil 5 has been designed for efficient and extra gentle hair removal.

40 Tweezer Technology:
The epilation head comes with 40 Tweezer Technology for fast and efficient results. It removes significantly more hair in one single stroke. Re-growth is slower and finer, leaving your skin silky smooth for up to 4 weeks.

SoftLift Tips:
Silk-epil 5 also includes unique SoftLift TipsĀ® which effectively lift even flat-lying hair and help guide them to the tweezers.

Smartlight:
The Smartlight highlights the area that is being epilated so that even short, fine hairs are visible and won't be missed.

Ultra Gentle Dual Massage System:
The Dual Massage System of Silk-epil 5 gently activates the skin before and after epilation to minimize the pulling sensation.

Speed Personalization:
With all Silk-epil epilators you can choose the right speed for your individual needs: Speed 1 for extra gentle and speed 2 for extra efficient epilation.

LOL! It's like getting your eye brows waxed, the pain is quick & temporary.

I've been wondering about getting one of these for a long time because my hair grows so fast. You said 'epilator is not for me'. Would you mind telling me why?

The pain, while at first is a bit shocking, isn't what made me give it up. After the first minute or so, you're like, "ok, this isn't so bad." LOL . But it takes a little longer to achieve hairless legs than a razor. The trade off is the smoothness lasts longer. And maybe once you do achieve smooth legs, the maintenance is minimal. I have 2 small kiddos & that makes my "me" time limited. I simply gave up. I keep looking at it, wanting to try again, but I never make the time. So, if something sits too long in my home, I let it go. I recommend anyone considering an epilator read the reviews to help them decide if it's right for them.

F&W I am an epilator user and mine is probably 25 yrs old, I would love to update! I do want to make some comments on your questions and comments. Yes it is at first painful but as you use it , it weakens the roots and the hair grows in thinner. After using it regular for a wail, it really doesnt hurt much. It also takes less time. I love mine. I come from a family of hairy women and I dont know what I would do with out mine. If you can stick with it for a wail you'll never go back to a razor. Good luck and i'll be bidding!!

Hello, I also have a epilator. I have had mine since 1996. I LOVE MINE!!! When I first used mine; I thought that it tingled/tickled on top of my foot as I am really ticklish and my leg, well that felt like it was being dry razored. I still have the instructions for mine along with all the tools too. I have got to the point where I only have to use it 1 time every 3 months. I also found out that if you are carefull/slow you can do your armpits as well. I was told I could do my upper lip; however I tried it and it kinda hurt me so I havent tried again, but I do my fingers/toes instead. IF ANYONE WANTS TO HAVE THE BEST LEGS-THAT COME OUT SILKY SMOOTH THEN GET THIS!!! God bless you for posting this on here as alot of people can use this-even men-lol. <><

I dont ship international at this time. I use the postal station at my local grocer and they do not have international capabilities. The nearest post office is just too far away. Sorry. Thanks for checking it out though :)

when these first came out about 25 years ago i had to have one. i used it on one part of my leg and could not stand the pain. the hair on that leg still doesn't grow like it does on the rest of my legs. it is still fine and thinner 25 years later. sure wish i would have been able to handle doing it. please don't go by what i say about the pain. i had my upper lip waxed once and will never do that again either. for some reason i can pluck the hair on my upper lip just can't stand the waxing. good luck awesome auction.

It's true everyone's pain tolerance is different, but I don't want any one to think this is pain free. There is some discomfort associated with this because your hair is being plucked at the root. To me, it's tolerable. But definitely, if someone doesn't like waxing, they probably wont like this. Us women do some crazy things to be beautiful LOL! That's amazing that the area you once used it on is still growing in finer!

How much hair did it remove in the one time you used it? Do you know if this is something you have to use alot before the hair is gone for good?
Jan 8th, 2013 at 4:43:28 PM PST by
Original
You have to work slower than a razor. You have to go slow enough that the tweezers can pluck the hairs. I was able to do ONE very hairy leg in about 20 minutes. Of course, was my first time. I'm sure it gets faster once you're established. I hear that the longer you use it, the less hair grows backs. The following day, I did notice a few hairs that I had missed. I'm sure that if you devote a good hour to this your first time, you'll be hair free. :)

Thanks for answering my question! It sounds like this auction is the best way to find out if you'd like one or not. Then if it's not for you, you didn't lose any money and can always relist it and hopefully get your credits back. I'll be watching and bidding.

Thank you & good luck if you bid! Yes, you're right. This is a great way to see if an epilator is right for you. Most aren't cheap. I believe this one is currently selling for about $50 on amazon.

I have an epilady, and just love it! You're right, it is a bit time consuming, but (for me) there was no irritation like with a razor.

I have fair, sensitive skin so other than a bit of redness that went away in a few minutes, I had no irritation either. Kind of like waxing for me. This is superior to a razor & in the long run saves money in razor cartridges/refills. Thanks for sharing your positive experience. I love hearing them.
