I have a 1897 as pretty as this one. When I first got it I was concerned about it being fake, So, I got busy and researched it for a few hours and found that 1897"s are notorious for a weak strike. I'm comfortable with mine being real as I'm sure this one is. This one looks a little stronger than mine I think.
Whoever ends up with this thing, have no fear weak strikes are in it's DNA

it's very faint but I do see a feathered design smooth not ruffled
