No this is a router only...I have a modem that was working together with this router I will list later...I just got Verizon Fios and their modems nowadays come together with the router that is why I don't need this anymore.

sorry for sop many Qs, so i need to connect my normal modem to this one and then it will be wireless? and why does it have 6 ports?

NP... I will answer as much as I understand ..You can connect your devices that has Wi-FI and also your computers through wire connection..So those six ports are for six more PCs (wired networking). But I used on just one main PC that was connected to the internet and then I connected my other devices that have Wi-Fi to get wireless internet from this router...I had two phones, one laptop and both could go online at the same time with no problem at all....I think this helps a little
