The listing, Vintage Western Theme Barrette has ended.

This is a pretty old barrette with a cowboy theme. There is a hat, jacket, saddle , and boot. Looks like it is tin or something like it.

perhaps it is made of pewter. Also, how long is it? Is it made to hold an average amount of hair? - say the crown pulled back in it or is the clasp big enough to hold a whole ponytail?

Pretty sure it's not pewter, it's thinner. Measures 4" x 1" and would hold a ponytail or pullback. it's got a normal size clasp. Thanks for your interest, and this helps.
