this lap top works but you will need to be wiped and put a hole new operating system in it by boy friend told me to delete stuff off of it and i deleted the wrong thing but it is in very good condition you will have to keep it pluged in cause the battery is junk i just want to get rid of it u can use it for parts if you want but there is nothing wrong just needs a new system in it any questions please ask thanks it also has a wireless card that is posted in the pic above also includes charger to if it goes over 50,000 i will do free shipping i am putting shipping at 15.00 cause i am gonna put insurence on it so if it gets broke or some thing threw the mail

When you log on it comes up to a screen that says it is locked and I do not know the password and it happened after I deleted something so that is why I think it need a new operating system.

sounds more like the dell lock out for old computers, that is what my problem was.

no i set a password and i forgot the password and when i was able to remember it when i got it in it said no booting system so i talked to a guy and he said that you would need to put a hole new system in it he said it would be worth it cause the lap top is in really great condition but i just dont have the money to do it plus i use my bfs lap top or desk top so i really dont need it

Nice auction but when you change the hdd in this laptop you will still have this same problem This is a dell lock out screen and when you call dell about this problem they will tell you that they cannot give you the password because the bios is outdated and there is no way to update the bios in this system But to the lucky winner of this item email me and I will tell you how to get around this problem without having to replace anything or take anything apart..

Had the same problem with the same model before. Couldn't get any of the codes to unlock, so I placed a new hard drive in and installed windows on the new drive. You won't have the same problem when you install the new hard drive. This is only a hard drive locked up because of the password.

it is not "wipe disk" it is called format and that has nothing to do with the bios lock you can pull the drive completely out of the laptop and you will still get this screen.
