The listing, Jewelweed, make money, poison ivy relief, has ended.
Ok folks, here we go again....Make some bucks with this plant. Jewelweed is an old remedy used by the Native Americans to provide relief from the rashes you mite get from poison ivy, poison oak, sumac, and a variety of other rashes. Major soapmakers are now using this plant to make their poison ivy soap.
My friend Marie and I are wildcrafters, foragers of the plants that Mother Earth have generously provided us with. We have spent many years in the forests collecting, eating, using, selling whatever plants that we have knowledge of. This plant is one of our most requested and sells for up to $45 a pound when properly harvested. For years we have made our own soap using this plant and carry a small bar with us when hiking, camping, fishing, gardening, etc. We get many requests for our soap also.
This plant is not only beautiful, it attracts hummingbirds like crazy. The seed pods "pop" at the least amount of interference and are difficult to collect. It prefers a rich soil with good moisture. Loves to grow on the side of creekbanks and marshy areas best of all. If you come into contact with a poisonous plant, just pick some of this "weed" and rub and wash affected area with it. It is also good for stings and critter bug bites. You can use this for yourself, make soap with it and or sell the entire plant. Spreads nicely. Be prepared for poison ivy season.
This auction is for thirty hard earned seed.
