The listing, Queen for a day AMAZON e-card. Ladies vs. Mens (LADIES ONLY BID) (Please Read and have some fun) has ended.

Wanted to try something I thought might be fun. Testing how women vs. men bid. I've listed many Amazon e-cards and have had both women and men be the final winner, so lets just see if women bid higher then men or if men bid higher then women.

This is an auction for WOMEN to bid on to see how much they want an Amazon e-card to be. There is no limits, I have the $ so bid away, you will recieve your e-card in the $ value of what ever it says before the "," so say it ends at 5,754 you'll get a $5 card. Or it ends with 10,743 you'll get a $10 card. or 54,777 means it' a $54 card. Pretty sure it's explained there so please bid away with confidience.

I'm going to list this exact same auction for the MEN so hopefully everyone will read the titles and understand which one they are to vote on.

Both auctions for Ladies and Men will end the same day and time (one will have a few more seconds on it though due to listing one then the other).

Do women spend more credits or do men? Battle of the sexes is on.....Bid and see who wins.

Don't let those mens show you up ladies, stick it to them!!

Great social psychological experiment. You should not tell us that you're doing an experiment, though. It breaches the scientific method because you're introducing self-selection and such. Still, when I was an undergrad, I never came up with such a clever and pertinent experiment. I'd love to see your data and read your conclusions. I'd even be happy to help you edit a paper if you're writing one. This is very very cool and smart!

Thanks! Wanted to make it clear to both sexes that there are two different ones for members to bid on and see who could win with the highest bids. I like to try and spice things ups in hopes it will be fun for all members involved. Sometimes we are just so focused on listing our auctions to prefection and want it to go smoothly that we never take the time to make them fun.

Wow, love watching these but not in the credit range, lol! I know items mailed to Canada are much more expensive but do you think it would be worth putting on an auction free for US and Canada pays 1/2 shipping? Most of my relatives live up there!

I ship free worldwide and I personally don't find much of a difference between shipping fees from Canada to the United States. If he item in auction isn't really heavy then the shipping fee will only have a few cents to a dollar tops applied to it. Most US members don't realize that they don't need to pay an arm an a leg to ship to Canada. Many believe they need to ship it quickly and with a real tracking number. When US sellers ship to Canada they have to fill out the customs decloration and the number on that is a postal confirmation which works in the tracking system. It just dosn't update once it's left the border but most moderators have now been informed of that and they take both winner and buyers sides in case of a dispute. I think it would be good to open up your shipping options, it allows for more bidders and higher credits in the end.

Yes, the men have no fear in bidding what they need to inorder to get the $ they want or maybe it's based on they just don't wanna loose to women..lol I'm sure hoping that the women get more into the game on this one and can stick it to the men. Sorry to hear your short on funds, I use to be the same way and it irritated me greatly. Now, I feel confidient that I can win almost anything on here I set my mind to as the credits are good and I apprecite every single member that has helped me acheive them and hope they are 100% satisfied with what I offer here to them.

F&W I am Kinda new to this site. I noticed that there are a few people who are creative and try things like this. It does make it fun and interesting. However, I have noticed that some seem to do great with it while others not so much. I tried a couple of things myself and folks waited until the last hour or two to even respond.

I don't know if it's because where the ad comes up or people are just not interested!!!! I am use to Ebay. a friend sent me an invite to this site. I have seen several things I would like but I have to earn the credits first. It would be crazy to buy them unless it was just to make up for a few. I am beginning to think there is a trick to this and some people have it and others don't. LOl. If someone could possibly give me some helpful hints so that I could possible do better I would be ever so grateful.

There are many member here that like to try and get creative and make Listia more fun. Sometimes it can be rather boring when there is nothing there to stimulate us and put us in the mood to bid more.
I've been here for over 2yrs now and absolutely love listia, it's very addicting and a great way to get items you just don't see in our every day stores in our home and surrounding town.
I personally win about 98% of all my auctions from the United States members as they have things that we just don't see here in Canada. Plus US sellers have 10x better auctions then members that live outside the area (click on the "outside US" catagory, then click free shipping only, it's not too great of a selection..lol hense the reasoning for me always enquiring about shipping to Canada on US sellers auctions..lol at times I feel like a pain in the arse but it's worth it. Some members will ship to me and others just won't and some are rude and block just for asking but those members are just the ones that don't really deserve to be here and I just block them in return as I don't want them to win anything of mine if I can't infact win theres.
As for tips to make for better credits, it's easy " free shipping". If you offer stuff and expect members to pay to ship it they will low-ball the credits mega!!! I tend to list auctions daily and keep the auctions coming that way credit is always coming in. I offer free worldwide shipping which brings in much much more attention and then all members can bid therefore making majority of what I auction out more then worth the shipping fee credit wise.
