This is a authentic gold ring. I can't remember if it's 18 k or 24 k with diamond chips. It is a sz 7 1/2 to 8. It is a little out of shape, but a jeweler can fix that pretty cheap. Iv'e had it for about 25 yrs It was my engagement ring. My husband had to have his ring cut off so we got a new set. I never got a band to go with it, so it's just the engagement ring. It is still in really Great shape.

Hi is the stone made up of small chips and not one complete stone? does it say inside the ring 14K or anything inside the ring? I just like to know what I'm going to be bidding on. Thank you. I fanned you and am watching for now.

A karat, is a unit of purity. Karats express this purity in terms of a sort of fraction out of 24 total parts. Therefore, 24k gold is 100% pure-24 parts out of 24 total are pure gold.

The higher the Karat, the softer it is and easier to bend.

Yes I know. But I can't read what it says. So i will not say it is 24 k. If i don't know and can't read the stamp I will not say it is. That would be a false statement because i already stated i didn't know!

Ok every one, if i say this is 24 k and the winner can read the stamp and it says 18 k. then they can come back and leave neg feed back, because i said it was 24 k. i have not and will not lie about a piece of jewelry. if i can not read the stamp i will not say it is such and such just to get more bids. that would be morale y wrong. so if any one else wants to tell me that if it's soft it's a higher karat and so on and so on. please don't comment. i will not lie about this or any other thing i have on here.

Curious if you can't read it at all, where did you come up with teh 18k or 24k, maybe it is 10k or 14k. Do you know for sure if it is even real gold or is it plated or filled. Does it stick to a magnet. Sorry for all the questions.

Yes i know it's real gold. No it does not stick to a magnet. We got it at a big name brand jewelry store like zales, but not zales. 10k and 14k do not bend easy like 18 and 24 do. Plus it wasn't cheap when we bought it. I've been looking for the papers on it, but haven't been able to find them. Don't be sorry for asking questions that's how you find out what you need to know.
