This is a Vintage Jew's Harp Juice Harp Jaw Harp or Mouth Harp, I've heard it called all ways, This instrument has the power to mesmerize you, I suggest going to youtube and searching jaw harp players, no bluegrass band is complete with out someone playing this, It's an old instrument no one is playing anymore, and being so music just don't sound the same, this harp is very old and is in great shape the metal isn't touching either side it's very fine and solid too. also with this auction you will get a vintage aluminum metal box with SOAP carved on top also in nice condition,

Hi love your auction.i remember my broither playing one of these when i was 9 or 10 I'm now 81 & he could play anything he picked up mouth harps,quitar,Violin,Banjo i couldn't even play a Juice harp & untill just now i always thought it was called a JEW'S harp,anyway i still have my JEWS harp & still can't play it.LOL.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I too always considered them a JEW'S Harp, I'm guessing that different regions or countries tagged it with different names, I too tried playing this when I was young, i was never musically inclined, but I remember when I would get the harp to belt out that special tone echoing from the back of your mouth it was a special feeling. I never got better then that though, just 1 note on a good day. LOL, Good Luck Everyone!
