Description

The listing, KJV Bible - to contrast the wiccan books has ended.

In an effort to balance out the abundance of pagan and wiccan books listed on Listia, I have decided to offer you another option - the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

This will be emailed to you through Listia as either an EPUB or Mobi digital file, depending on the type of eBook reader you have. Mobi will be for Kindle and EPUB is pretty standard for all other eBook readers.

Before you flag this, understand that this is in the public domain and is not in violation of the DMCA or Listia's rules.

Oh, and if you like any of the photos, please feel free to right-click and save them for your own enjoyment. :-)

You are perfectly within your rights to offer the bible as we are in offering what we believe in. And I wouldn't think of flagging you for what you believe in unless it was evil or deceitful of course. But we need no contrast just equality. Thank you for your thoughtfulness just the same. Blessings, ~D~

Hi... I wasn't saying that the wiccan/pagan books shouldn't be listed. I have no problem with that. My girlfriend just had about a dozen of her wiccan auctions end. They were given to us, and we didn't want them, so she listed them here for someone who did want them. Of course, I do agree with the 'evil' condition, though. This was just done in an effort to balance things out a little :-) And the flagging comment was only aimed at those who would flag this as being "copyright". I do appreciate your comments. Good luck to you!

Thank you for your listing and just how you listed it. It obviously bothers others who want freedom of speech for their expression of faith but not for Christians. This is an auction site, though, but found this interesting.

I understand that. You would be surprised {well maybe not} at how the mention of ANY religion/faith can stir a pot of stew. What I wrote was basically so there would hopefully not be conflicts...that's what the sentence, "But we need no contrast just equality" was for. Everyone has a right to their own faith without begrudging or having a 'holier than thou" attitude. Hahahahaha, when it comes to a copyright infringement they would have to go waaaaaaaaay back. Say a few thousand years. lol Good luck to you as well. ~D~

Lots of people have the wrong idea as to what wicca and wiccan means.. the way you have stated your auction reflects your truethoughts which are wrong as usual.. try reading up on a subject before mis- judge the subject... what if people judged the bible before they ever read a page from it..the world would be an awful place to be.. the bible tellsusall--- not to judge, no matter who you are...please read your bible before you auction it...we never stop learniing..

I'm sorry... did you read the description before you bothered to comment? No where in my description do I make any judgments of wiccans, pagans or their beliefs. And where in there do you see any of my "true thoughts" expressed? If you would like my TRUE thoughts, I would be happy to discuss them with you at length.

I assure you that I have read the entire work, as well as the excluded books, several times and I understand them better than you seem to think. I have also "read up on" numerous subjects, as you have suggested.

Please make sure of what you are saying before saying it. Thanks.

Hi, just a quick FYI, the 'king james' version of the bible used many pagan ceremonies (converted to "christian" holy-days/dates) and omitted/obliterated other celebrations in an attempt to "convert" pagans to christianity. it was far easier to incorporate the pagan holidays (with 'new' christian names) into the new religion than it was to outright banish or forbid the common fests. :)

Yeah... I replied to someone in a private message about that, but yeah. I am well aware of the Christian incorporation of pagan symbols and rituals into their own in an effort to ease conversion. Doesn't bother me in the least, nor do I balk at that fact the way some might were you to point that out to them.

Thank you for being polite in your comment :-)
