The plant has been fine thru several frosts here in the past week, but IDK how much harsh winter it could take. It does not drop anything but spent flowers, never it's spines.

what about shipping? will it make it to wisconsin? I just love this, not sure the cuttings would make it through usps.

Not to worry---I package my "babies" very well, and with cacti and succulents you have to let them dry out for a week anyway before you plant, to let the cut heal. Your cacti will arrive ready-to-plant!

Hmmm... I never really counted the time, but I know they open and close, then a second wave of blooms kicks in. Cacti are not lengthy bloomers, but spectacular and showy! Thanks for watching :)

does it multiply on it's own?

It will grow arm after arm up and out of the pot, until it's full, as you can see in pic#2. I have never put it in the ground, but it would root wherever it touches, I'm sure! Hope that answers your question. Thanks!
