They are also the most fragrant melons with a rich, sweet, intoxicating aroma that will fill a room. The white flesh gets sweeter in dry climates, mild tasting. Small in size, the fruits weigh up to 1 lb. The vigorous plants yield heavily, even in dry conditions. Heirloom. 90 days. Auction is for 8 seeds.

Is there another name for this?? I think it is called a persimmon. My Mom LOVED these and grew them all the time :) LMK if I'm right, plz :)

No, different fruit. Persimmons are tree fruit. This is a melon that grows on a vine like canteloupe.

Yep.There are some squash that should be considered a gourd. Some squash aren't worth eating..some carnival variety are nothing but skin. I would use them for decoration.
