FREE: Vintage Valentines - Travel Theme (20 quantity)

These 20 Valentines all revolve around the theme of travel - they are either pictures of cars, planes, and boats or referencing travel in the cards. I would say they date from the late 30's and 40's.

The pictures show some of the more special cards in this collection. Some of them are awesome because they have moving parts (refer to pictures 2 - 5) as well as
the "Oil be yer Valentine" Love Buggy car (not pictured individually but seen in group shot.) The smallest Valentine is the green police car (Calling you my Valentine.) It is only 1" tall by about 4" long

These were cards that were used on Valentine's Day and sent to kids in their classrooms so all of them are signed. However, they are in excellent condition. I know the history on these because they were from my husband's family. His grandmother was a teacher and she must have loved Valentine's Day because she saved many in a shirt box and stored them in the attic of the farmhouse. I saved a lot for myself but I have way too many to keep. I am putting several lots up for auction.

Many of the older ones are marked "Made in the USA." Some of them have no markings at all Manufactures are found on some of the cards and these include American Greetings, an American Greeting card, and A-Meri-Card,

I will ship these for free and I can make sure you have them in time for Valentine's Day. They would be darling made into a wreath or displayed in some way. I think they are too nice to cut up but I have done that with some of the older ones that are torn and made vintage looking labels and cards.
