This is a collection of 8 cartoon themed Valentines. I believe these are from the late 30's and 40's. Besides knowing the history of these cards, one of the Disney cards of Pluto has printing on it that says copyright 1939 W.D.P. and made in the USA.

I believe the pictured cards to be Porky the Pig, Popeye, Pinocchhio, Pluto, Donald Duck, Dick Tracy, and not sure about the other 2. All 3 of the Disney ones stand and move. The color on these is awesome and all are marked "Made in the USA"

The Porky the Pig Valentine also moves his arms back and forth like he is putting on his hat. He is the largest of the set at about 6 1/2 inches tall.

Dick Tracy is cool because the heart is folded up in back and is hiding until you unfold it. He measures 6" tall and wants to stand but is a little creased. You might need to work with him a bit.

These were cards that were used on Valentine's Day and sent to kids in their classrooms so all of them are signed or have writing on the back. However, they are in excellent condition for their age. These are all from my husband's family whose grandmother was a teacher and saved them in the farmhouse attic.
