If you accept PayPal for shipping charges, you cannot require that users pay using the "personal" or "gift" payment option. This is because those options do not allow buyers to request refunds from PayPal if anything happens.

That's ludicrous. Buyers pay shipping costs. If you don't want to pay don't bid. It costs a minimum of $3 to ship even these small items. That adds up, and you don't see Listia requiring Free Shipping. Sorry I can't afford to, but I'm not Sears. Thank you for looking.

I wasn't saying I had a problem with your shipping charges...I was just letting you know in the comment above that it is against Listia's rules to require that we pay you Only Under the "gift option" When Paying Through Paypal. =)

In your description above you stated that it was to be "$2.00 shipping paid to your paypal account - *gift only*.." and if we do gift only & then a problem comes about, paypal doesn't allow buyers to request a refund. .That's all I meant =) Good luck on your auction!!

Just an FYI, PayPal is owned by ebay!!!!!! even if you don't use ebay they still get the 'vig' when you use PayPal

listia states not to use gift on paypal if it breaks o rif we need a refund it null and voids the tranaction and we the buyer cannot claim anything if we pay thru gift. ask 4 the $ regular way and add 50cent more to the $2 itwill still give you Your $.2,00 you want.
