Offered here are four vintage 22-cent stamps in MINT unused condition. This block of four stamps featuring American horses was issued September 25, 1985, in Lexington, Kentucky. The dedication ceremony was held in the Parade of Breeds Barn at the Kentucky Horse Park. The ceremony also served as a preliminary event for National Stamp Collecting Month, October 1-31, 1985.The block features:
Saddlebred
Appaloosa
Quarter Horse
Morgan
These have been stored flat in dry storage for years, and are in clean, MINT condition with no damage whatsoever.
I have a block of four mounted on brown velvet and frame in a slightly larger frame . . . so beautiful! I've also seen one made into a pendant for the 'horse woman.' The display options are endless!
