the shiny thing to the left and to the right on the bottom of the choker is a tiny pink gem of some kind! Really pretty. I tend to hoard things so i am just trying to minimize right now :) I really hate giving this up...

It is crochet lace edging with a flower design. It is used to decorate towels, pillow cases, hankies, pretty much anything that you can put a lace edging on. The piece you have definitely makes a beautiful choker!
