The listing, Silver & Turquoise Ring - Hand Made has ended.
Here's something else I've had forever. I picked this up when I lived in New Mexico.
Handcrafted by a Navajo silversmith. It's around 40 years old. The inlaid turquoise is tiny chips that are left over after cutting down a large piece. They don't waste anything. I can't remember what the red stones are....something that ends in "ite".
Like my other rings I have listed...I can't remember the size. The inside diameter is just a hair over 3/4", and 5/8" wide at the top.
It really needs to be polished up after sitting in my desk drawer all these years.
Yes, it is. The Navajo silversmiths won't ever use anything but real silver, gold, copper, etc. The other tribes are the same way. They place enormous pride in what they do.
what size ring do you wear or whoever was wearing this wear so i get a general idea of what size it will fit cause measurements don't help a whole lot when coming to fitting well
The problem is.....I honest to God don't know what size ring I wear. I haven't bought a ring in MANY years, and when I did, I tried it on, if it fit...I bought it. I consider my hands and fingers to be pretty danged average for an adult male. My fingers aren't fat, nor skinny. The thing that sticks in my mind, is 8 or 9, but I REALLY can't say if that's correct. This IS my ring. I bought it new from an Indian silversmith shop on a reservation in New Mexico. In those days, in the small Indian Trading Posts, nothing was marked by size. You just tried everything on. I truly wish I could give you a definitive answer....but I honestly can't. Sorry!
