Offered for your collecting pleasure is this nice Napoleon lot. First is a medal which commemorates the marriage of Napoleon I and Marie Louise in 1810. It may appear to be silver, but it is not--it is some base metal.
Second is an 1864 Napoleon III "Dix Centimes" (10 cents). Minted in Strasbourg (mintmark BB) of bronze.

It should look familiar...I won it here on Listia! :) I thought a friend would want it, but he was looking for military-related Napoleon items...so here is round 2 lol. Why..do you want it? If so, email me. Please refresh my memory re: the Ike. I've been through so much medical stuff in the past year, my short-term memory is sloooowly returning. BTW, how are you?! :)

Napoleon married Marie Louise by proxy in Vienna on 11 March 1810. Dennon was commanded to produce four medals in various sizes, in copper, silver and gold, for the Paris marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise. They were produced in the same numbers as had been requested for those of the coronation six years earlier.
The total of medallions struck in gold were:
40mm - 100
32mm - 200
27mm - 200
14mm - 12,500
At the coronation in 1804 6,000 of the 14mm gold medallions were given to members of the Imperial Guard and it is assumed that this medallion was also given to the guard. The rest were thrown to the crowds by the heralds-at-arms.
