anyone complaining it is fur needs to make sure they are not wearing leather shoes, or purse or wallet or eat meat of any kind or sit on any leather chair, or wear lipstick that is tested on critters, and I could go on and on.And if they take medicine of any kind, guess who its usually tested on first? I collect roadkills too and tan the hides, why let it go to waste? I applaud the use of vintage furs and I am an animal rescuer and lover of the critters.

Traude, how many animals had to die for the suede purse you have up for auction on your site? Leather, fur, all the same. Do your homework and make your own decision. Animals die for shoes and for clothing. Get over it if you buy leather purses or shoes. What's the difference????

All you have to do is click on your completed auctions, go to page 7 and there it is. You forget what you had? It was on a month ago. P.E.T.A. people make me sick. They don't do their homework at all. Most are vegetarians which is ok, but most of their meds are tested on laboratory animals, or their cosmetics, or who knows what. If you wear anything that has leather on it, some animal died for it so the people who protest the loudest against fur is the same people who haven't done their homework. Most hormone replacement therapy is done from horses. Now I'll try to get off my soap box but it's comments from ignorant people that gets my dander up......ROTFLMAO at dumb peta comments.

Cantakerous will win the hat. No doubt about it. It will look terrific with her blue fox coat (roadkill?) hahahahaha I've picked up plenty of road kills. In Tennessee it is now legal to pick up killed game animals and eat them. The only animals not on the list were dogs and cats I believe. We are resourceful here in the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee!

TCA 70-4-115 allows that, except for non-game and federally protected wildlife species, wild game animals accidentally killed by a motor vehicle may be possessed for personal use and consumption. However, possession of a deer killed by a motor vehicle is permitted only if the person notifies the TWRA or any law enforcement officer and supplies his/her name within 48 hours. A bear killed by a motor vehicle may be possessed only upon the issuance of a receipt from the TWRA.

Hunters donate hides to charitable organizations via drop boxes during hunting season. These hides get sold by the charity to the tanners before the leather makers. Its all nonsense, I eat very little red meat but feel I have the right to do so! Great hat!!!
