The listing, Interactive Household Mystery Auction has ended.

I did an interactive craft auction and it seemed to be a hit. It was a lot of fun so I am offering another one! This auction will be run as follows:
Each day I will choose one room of the house. The rooms are:
kitchen
living room
dining room
bedroom 1
bedroom 2
bathroom
utility room
craft room
office
garage
Not necessarily in that order. Too much of a mystery makes it hard to bid so from each room I will choose 2 items. One will be announced, the second will be a mystery.
Now for the interactive part. Each day I will announce what room I will be going in next. The items chosen from that room will be influenced by input from people watching the auction. Ultimately the item chosen will be at my discretion but in my last auction nearly every suggestion wound up being included. This will be a little different as at the end of the auction there will be 20 items.
The items I choose will not be at the mercy of the bidding. I've noticed that everyone tends to be cautious in the beginning. By the end the winner will be super happy!

As I absolutely refuse to bid on anything that does not include free shipping, as always I will pay shipping to any Listia verified address in the continguous 48 states. The size of the box will ultimately be about the size of a medium flat rate box.

I haven't been in the kitchen yet! I have to warn you that I intend to include a recipe in the auction. Not sure which one, or if it will be a mystery. I'll do the kitchen tomorrow, instead of the bedroom 2. Let me see what I can find!

Things that may be added: some kind of garden flag or pot, storage containers with lids, kitchen necessities (can you be more specific?)), hand towels, washclothes, toothpaste/brushes, possibly a movie or two, maybe another tool, some more craft supplies (possibly a kit for children? Maybe markers, a glue gun, basic supplies?) Many of these items would be new. Once the bidding reaches 5000 I will add things! I believe I have all the rooms covered. And don't forget that in addition to what is listed there are mystery gifts! (for example, the gift from the office is a wireless mouse...oops, that was supposed to be a surprise!)
Other than the bidding reaching 5000 credits there will be no tierEd expectations. I will need to upgrade to a large priority box. Experience tells me it will pay off. Look at my feedback on other mystery auctions. The winner will be quite happy with their package!
Oh, I made need more suggestions to actually fill the box so keep them coming!

just a sugestion outdoor decoration flags , fab softener the paper type or maybe a new trash bag or 2 soap samples spatulas glue stickers tape paper clips air fresheners note pads pens ect...

It is said that there is no such thing as an original idea, that everything conceived of has already been thought. I don't believe that is the case here. Not an original idea, just structured differently. Pretty much everyone took over. So, ya, use the idea! But give it a twist and make it your own!

So choose one room, like the kitchen, and clean sweep it. 10 days is too long. Wish I'd have kept it 7. Maybe your hip through one drawer or cabinet a day? The bathroom would be good, too. Stuff loves to gather there!

What a coincidence, I have some spare scrapbook materials. I know threre's a stencil (I think it's really a quilters stencil.) Some cut-outs, maybe a stamper. Could be a mystery item as well!

Here's what I'm going to do...
