ATTENTION HISTORY OR SPORTS COLLECTORS:Here is a yellowed retro postcard of the Woodside Cotton Mill in Greenville, SC.
MORE INTERESTING IS THE NOTE ON BACK, addressed to Odell McRae (or Odell McRay).
According to an internet search, there was an Odell McRae who was a BOXING referee back then in Laurel,
Mississippi..
The card is from H. R. Long, who was writing something from the city of Greenville about Football to McRae, in care of Laurel Leader, which is a newspaper that can still be found online.
The card is postmarked Sept 10, 2 pm, the year looks like 1966 (?). from Greenville, S.C.
A great collector's piece of history.
