adrianne, I believe your credits are still protected through Listia. So you wouldn't look them if it doesn't work out. You can always check with them though :)

You can't transfer apps, and you can't gift apps with money loaded on to your account.

pinkygirl - You can gift apps, but they charge your credit card, they don't deduct it from a itunes card balance. I run a large Harry Potter website and give out iTunes apps as prizes all the time, so I know first hand, that it won't come out of itunes credit, like this user says he has.
