Questions & Comments
Bwolfmomma, I think you SHOULD get a bit of "profit" here. 18k might be a little bit high, but certainly, since YOU are the one who went out and purchased these, you should get something extra for your time. That is not ripping off, it is business. If I don't have to go to the P.O., I save approx $2 in gas and 30 minutes time. So, you are fair in asking for a few extra credits. If people don't want them, they don't have to buy them from you, right?
I tried to go in an change the GIN, but it will not let me do it. But I now know how to be more fair in my asking GIN on my auctions! And I appreciate everyone's in-put, it's how we all learn!
A longer listing just gives more people a bit longer to see and bid on your auctions, for the person listing the auction it makes it worth it to them. Besides some also as I do will list a GIN for the ones who don't want to wait and think the asking GIN is worth what's being auctioned! Thank you for watching my auction too!!
I'm not really sure what you are asking of me, all I did was post an auction and added a GIN if someone wanted the item before the auction ended. Do a certain amount of credits add up to a certain amount of money?? All I know is that this is a free auction site that no money is exchanged; except for shipping. Am I doing something wrong? I've never had this asked of me before and I pride myself with my 100% feed back. and my auctions and satisfying the winners of my auctions!
You asked "Do a certain amount of credits add up to a certain amount of money??". Actually yes. It's 1000 credits + $1.00. Since these are $9.00 it would be 9000 credits. That's what they normally go for on here. Just like in the 'Rewards Store', listia charges 10,000 for a $10 gift card, 15,000 for a $15 card, and so on.
I am sorry, I didn't know that. I did one similar to this and received 15,000 credits for it; but now that I know this I will do my auctions a bit different that's for sure and thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm not one to try and rip of ppl.; I believe to much in Karma!!
OK if we are going to pretend that Listia dictates what credits are worth because of what they ask in their rewards store, then why do they sell credits for the following 1,500 Credits $5.00 3,300 Credits $10.00 7,200 Credits $20.00 16,000 Credits $40.00
asdfgy2003 i can tell you that i wouldn't take what your showing for some of my gin auctions that value into the 70 dollar range ... i ask fair but i have to cover shipping time here, gas to post office, packaging.,it adds up fast
