I think it depends on several things. 1. I always keep my perfume in a dark cool place (a drawer in my bedroom). Most people tend to store them in a bathroom which could help them to turn quicker. 2. This is where the price of a perfume can come into play. Alcohol is a lot cheaper than fragrance oil and the (I would hope) that the more expensive brands would have less alcohol than the cheaper brands. I've had some $ store brands turn in less than 3 months.

My perfumes usually last 2 - 4 years before you start to get the hint of alcohol but usually by the 4 - 5 year, that is all you smell and its time to trash it.

I looked at how much I used and decided that its fate would be to end up in the trash if I didn't share it here. I did the same thing with Marc Jacob Daisy which I just sold on Listia.

My suggestion to you is to smell all your perfumes, if you smell alcohol, just try to remember how long you've had it and try to finish your perfume that hasn't turned before that time is up. And, if you've been storing your perfume in a window (direct sunlight) or a room that gets hot (like a bathroom) move them to a cooler/darker place. Causes less evaporation and could extend the life of them. I hope I was able to help and sorry it was SO long. Good Luck!!! :o)
