Can i use a dvd-rom drive for this of what?

Yes they are typically used on a PC that has a DVD drive or a cd/DVD rom drive , they will not burn if you have a cd rom only , they are DVD recordable with light scribe, witch means you can burn movies to them or data, the lightscribe means if you have lightscribe software or your computer or on your external burner , that you can inscribe a logo on the disc with said lightscribe or similar software, you do not need this software if you are just burning this on to them. Hopefully I answered your question.
