I won a diamond necklace from this seller and I can tell you the diamonds are very pretty and the silver is very nice and well made. I wear it almost everyday and just love it. This seller is a wonderful Listian and has awesome auctions and delivers what is stated. I got the necklace so fast and in perfect condition. So anyone thinking about bidding should not hesitate. Commercial quality diamonds are everyplace and in almost every store....I have seen some very very nice ones and they are quite expensive in the retail market. Even for this being sterling, that's alot of sterling and with the diamonds, i can see why it would cost 599 if not more.

Thats okay ... it happens to everyone at one time or another :-)
You may have something called a 'macro' function on your camera.
Even some of the inexpensive cameras have it. The 'symbol' for the function is a little 'tulip flower' looking thing. If you have it, turn it on and when you take a photo, hold the shutter button down 1/2 way, and you will see the shot become clearer in the view finder. After it clears up, just finish 'clicking' the shutter button and complete the shot. If you DON'T have the 'macro' function ... everyone will understand about your pick, so don't worry. Some things just can't be helped!

Has your jeweler told you what commercial diamonds are? Commercial diamonds are of lower clarity, usually milky or grey in color. Most have fractures that are treated. A lot of these are used for costume jewelry or lower budget engagement rings.

I did receive information from you regarding this matter on my last auction for a similar item. You can find the same exact item at Macy's for $599.00. I asked them to appraise it and received an a written appraissal for $599.00. However, I can not afford to pay for an appraissal every time I put up an auction.

Get the necklace in a well lit area, and take a photo without the flash. The flash makes a glare on the diamonds, that's why you can't tell they are diamonds. F&W
