The listing, 1940S NEW YORK BISCUIT TIN has ended.
This early 1940s tin has diff. scenes in new york and the lid is very heavy and has a latch you can put lock on has normal wear on the inside as you can see in pic.has been in my family since 1943.measures close to 13 inches wide x 11 inches length and 6 inches deep.
does this have a date on it? and on the lid it appears there is an oval plaque above the latch with some type of word on it, if there is can you tell me what it says or is it just like a decoration? thanks
There is no date it was given to my great aunt in 1940s and it was used then .the gold plaque says (aeroplane view of manhatten island).there is a pic of wear on inside and there are scratches more important i wont clean it that is up to winner it will look even better when washed.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask . all the popular tourist attractions at the time are all over this thing it says on the top with pic ( aeroplane view of manhattan island) ! yes it has a few scratches but nothing major.
