The listing, 3rd Gen iPod 30gb has ended.

30gb iPod. Ha a broken audio chip which means hat it won't play music with headphones. It does work and it does turn on. If connected to the computer will play music...just can't use headphones...can be used for parts or for actual use....depending on the buyers use I can set it back to factory settings...let me know when you win what you are using it for so that I can reset it if needed. I'm looking for a spare ipod to connect to my built in audio system in my car. It hooks up with the regular charging port. If you are assuring me that it would work in that scenario I'd love to bid on this. It's just what I'm looking for.

I took it to a repair place and they said that the headphone jack port is fried but the Ipod itself still works. They said it still plays if connected to the computer by a charging port. if other Ipods have worked in the future that way without needing to be connected via the headphone jack also, then this would definitely work

unfortunately no. I took it to try to get that specific part fixed and they said if it was the audio chip they couldn't do anything. When they found out that was the problem then handed it back and said they couldn't do anything. It works plugged in otherwise...just can't use headphones
