The listing, Vintage Small Crochet Collar (machined?) has ended.

Perfect condition, no stains or tears. So clean I kinda wonder about the "vintage" status, but it came from a vintage curio shop, so I'd like to believe it.

What was I thinking?? I have no kids, OR big dolls. And I can no longer be considred anywhere near petite. I was just on a lace kick.

I do believe that it was tatted not crocheted. And it may be modern with a vintage twist but it could just as easily be vintage only the threads actual age would be able to determine whether or not modern or vintage.

Thanks for the info! I haven't heard of anyone "tatting' for years! My grandmother use to do it, and like a typical kid, i paid no attention.

When I worked in a fabric shop in the late 70's, early 80's so that might help place the time frame. These were very popular lace collars to finish blouses.
