I have an HDTV ready Sony big screen, I just moved so can't afford to get my cable hooked up yet, how would this work to be able to get some channels in? Would i need an antenna also?

I disagree.....You have a over the air tuner that receives digital but not High Definition. You would need an RGB or HDMI output for which this has neither. Retail for Motorola with Government coupon about $40.00. Reception about 420 interlace.

sir i do not want to be rude but i am the one with the box that has the info. now ive looked and you are right about the HD it is digital. but if you have a TV that can show HD it will come up in HD

my tv does have HD, it was my parents and they got a LED LCD FLAT SCREEN which is sweet, but my tv is nice. so even tho I do not subscribe to cable with the converter I should be able to get some channels broadcast in HD is that correct? Also do I heed an antenna?
