Silver Engagement Solitaire Style Ring. Hallmark 925 Estate Find. There is a hallmark 925 & MO but when I cleaned got damaged as it shows on pictures .... so either it is fake or I just damaged the platinum plate which is over the sterling. Anyhow this is a beautiful Silver Color Ring with Faux Diamonds (CZs) which unfortunately I damaged Faux Diamonds are Round Cut Faceted Clear Cubic Zirconias. Central gem is quite large about 2 carats flanked on each side by 3 1/10 carat ones sz 6 Free shipping US & CANADA WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I was wondering because I was buying a piece of jewelry one day and picked up some liquid jewelry cleaner and a cleaning cloth to buy as well. The jewelry item was solid gold but the cleaning items were labeled for silver. I never really thought about a difference but when I placed it on the counter the lady behind the counter said no that you can't clean gold with silver jewelry cleaning product or vice versa. She said if you clean gold with a silver cleaner it ruins the metal or something like that and the same for silver with gold cleaner. It may have had a white gold over lay over the silver and with the silver cleaning cloth it may have took the gold off. Don't know. But I would suggest taking jewelry to a pawn shop and having them test it and see for certain. Some places will test for free. Mine here does that
Well maybe it was platinum plated over sterling.... and under the loupe looks like is a layer coming off and under looks silver but not so shiny not other color like copper or brass.... it is clearly hallmarked but at this point I rather just say it is plated winner will be happy I am sure ... I have my son over from college for less than a week so for sure I am not going to the pawn shop for this, thank you thou :)
