How many computers was this installed on?

Installed on only one PC, but that computer has it uninstalled for the CS4 version of Photoshop and Premiere Elements 8.

There's no problem in installing it on another computer with my understanding of the license. You're able to have it installed on three personal computers, currently this piece of software is not installed on any computers.

This is a Windows only disk. You can find this same package for Mac, buy my version won't work on Mac. Sorry.

I have adobe photoshop elements 5.0 is this better or newer than what I have?

6.0 is a newer version. It's really up to the user if you think 6.0 would be any better than 5.0. Personally I wouldn't upgrade just one version. I upgraded from 6.0 to the CS4 package, which in my opinion is a huge improvement with far more features. If you're proficient with 5.0, I'd probably stay there unless you are looking for specific upgrades that might be included in 6.0. I don't know what the differences are between 5 and 6, but I'd guess there isn't much difference.

Is this the only software I would need to use this or would I have to have some other sort of Adobe software as well?

If you just want to work with pictures or video, this is the only software you'll need. If you want to do other things with it, you'll likely need additional software.
