No it isn't. In fact in most cases it is the same as the parcel option. I have had over 500 auctions and I find it cheaper with usually better handeling of the package. And now that the price increase is in affect with tacking included it is cheaper. I set up a free USPS.com account and am able to make mailing labels and get exact shipping that way. There are so many options to save you money. I hope this helps you. Oh and flat rate boxes are great if you have a heavy object.

You can get the Priority boxes at the post office for free, Or have them sent to you from USPS.COM for free.

here are the prices that i have sent things out for: 1-3 oz $1.69, 4 oz $1.86, 5oz $2.04, 6 oz $2.20, 7 oz $2.36, 8 oz $2,53 and these prices include tracking number. I do everything from my computer/printer and put them in my mail box. i don't have to go to post office(i do not ship international only usa) i hope this helps you.
