Les Misérables is a French historical novel by Victor Hugo, first published in 1862, that is considered one of the greatest novels of the nineteenth century.

In the English-speaking world, the novel is usually referred to by its original French title, which can be translated from the French as The Miserables, The Wretched, The Miserable Ones, The Poor Ones, The Wretched Poor, or The Victims.

Beginning in 1815 and culminating in the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, the novel follows the lives and interactions of several characters, focusing on the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.

Examining the nature of law and grace, the novel elaborates upon the history of France, the architecture and urban design of Paris, politics, moral philosophy, antimonarchism, justice, religion, and the types and nature of romantic and familial love.

how do you pay them 20% when theres no money envolved

Because money IS involved. Credits have a dollar value (X amount of credits cost X amount of dollars to purchase) so receiving credits equates to receiving money. It is essentially just a new currency, used only on Listia. I calculate the dollar value of what is received and pay the cash equivalent of 20% to Gutenberg. Doing it any other way is illegal.

even in gutenbergs books it says not for commercial use if you are going by the price of credits thats not the right value on here $1.00 = 1000 example credits in the rewards auctions the gin for 25 dolloar gift card is 25000

I did too at first. I am new here and have already bid on an ebook thinking it was a real book. Then I discovered that if you click on the description box, it gets bigger and there it is...all the information I should have been reading before I bid. Hahaha! Silly me!
