Description

The listing, Big Batch of Macaw Feathers! has ended.

Here's another batch of feathers from my Macaw, Pebbles. She's molting again. There are 3 big ones here and the rest are of various sizes. The big one at the bottom measures 19 inches! The other 2 big ones on the left are each 13 inches. The others you can estimate sizes using those for comparison. They come from a smoke free home and are poop free! I don't collect those. Free shipping!

Hi! With the big long ones, they usually go for 3000 to 5000 points. They're hard to come by and I can't list them very often. I don't think anyone would try to purposely bid you up. There's legitimate bidders that I give these to that really want them and it's mostly because of the long ones from what I understand. This batch is the first one that's had one that's 19 inches long. It's one of her few tail feathers that she didn't ruin. Good luck though! : )

I've used feather like this in Native American Dance Fans .... I had a couple pretty green iridencent ones I wore ... some one asked me what they "represented" so I said Hummingbird feathers (illegal to own by the way) next thing I know Fish and Game was asking me about my feathers .... went thru them all, he asked about the ones I was wearing ... oh these? My Love birds take turn plucking each other's butts ... he laughed ... he knew they weren't Hummingbird!
I sold out of my dance fan's!!! Everyone liked the Macaw feathers I had! They mix gorgeously with the Turkey feathers I use for the long feathers!

There's another woman on here that bids on these for Native American Dance fans too. : ) I think that's such a cool way to use them. She wants the Macaw ones so bad but she's never won. : ) Interesting info about the Hummingbird feathers. I didn't know that. Until I started listing my birds feathers i had no idea how many different uses there were for them. I love that people like using them because they really are so beautiful and I always hated to just throw them away. I will never throw away another feather! Good luck!

Fanned and watching!! My daughter collects feathers and loves her one Macaw feather she bought at a festival. I would love to get these for her since she is about to have a birthday. This is a wonderful and beautiful lot of feathers!

Thanks for noticing! The 19 inch one is probably the longest one I've listed. It's because my bird usually chews them and I got this one away from her the second she dropped it. It was great timing! The other ones are so pretty too. The blues vary in shades but they're all intense in color. The yellows are also just beautiful. The colors depend on what part of my bird's body they fall from. I like the smaller ones best but everyone on Listia seems to like the big ones better. Depends what you need them for I guess. : )

I had a Mallucan Cockatoo also! I had to sell her though since she and my macaw just screamed at each other and at the time I wasn't home much to give her the attention she needed. She went to a little girl that just adorded her so it was the right thing to do. I can't believe you've saved all those feathers! They are beautiful though so I actually get it. I always hated just throwing them away so I'm glad I've found people that can use them.
