seems to want to turn on but does not figured i would post it in case anyone needs it for parts or has the knowledge i lack to repair it ... oh yeah that big white wand is for wireless capabilities

Have you tried removing the ram and booting it to post that way? sometimes a very bad ram chip can cause an auto shutdown.

yep i have the 5150 dell and it needs a new motherboard and go to the internet and see what i talking about

You Must have the internal battery in this for it to start. i had the same problem with mine. it has to be a good battery for it to start. thats why it won't. I replaced mine and it worked fine. This is the one it should take.

i know one thing wrong is the battery is dead dead and i replaced the lower part of the power cord the part that plugs into the wall it wants to turn on but turns right back off...i got a new ps3 therefore i dont need this anymore in also not that computer literate

when i plug it in and go to turn it on it sounds like it wants to start but then turns right back off i pretty sure theres a problem with the power cord and battery as far else that goes its been hiding in my closet since i got a new ps3
