That's the beauty of this pattern- you can make them in any size or type of yarn you want because it's a flexible pattern. However, I recommend using a worsted weight cotton yarn like Lily Sugar 'n Cream. Using a hook around size H, the completed scrubby is about 3-4 inches across, but you can use a larger hook or add another row in the middle to make your scrubbies bigger.
