Description

The listing, 1 OZ GERMAN NAZI .999 PURE 24K GOLD has ended.

I originally bought this from Ebay sometime ago. The seller said that the gold is 0.999 pure 24K gold. The gold bar measures approximately 1.5 inches by 1 inch, and it comes in a small plastic case within a small plastic bag (as shown in the pictures).

The gold bar has a picture of an eagle on a wreath with a cross in middle of the wreath. Under it is the text "DEUTSCHE REICHSBANK 999/1000 GOLD" (all in caps), and under that is a picture of another cross. On the back of the bar is a picture of another eagle (I believe its Germany's coat of arms) within a circle with text saying "REICHSBANK DIRECTORIUM" (all in caps) or something like that.

I appreciate the reply Captain! As a pretty experienced Listian, I need to tell you that without any verifications, seller badges, and being a brand-new Listian yourself, you will not get what you want for this auction. If indeed this is 1 oz, of pure, solid gold, you can go to any pawn shop and get more than $2k for it but folks won't bid high for you until they know you aren't a scammer. Not that you are! But there are a few around here. I have purchased from sites where you got your description, and you need to have your piece tested because IMHO, it is not what you think it is. But even it it IS exactly as you describe, you still won't get what you want without having a track record as a seller. These links will help:

Maybe you should have it tested at a jewelers...that way you'd be safe stating pure gold, and people would have confidence to bid-just saying...

The historical value outweighs its material value to me. I'll be watching this auction closely.

I think you are great after all you admitted and corrected your mistake. There are still lots of people who collect these bars because that's what they like. Good luck to you I hope you do well even if it's not real gold. F&W

It looks like it is stamped (CLAD) ?
Clad is not Pure ......
Does it Say CLad ????
Feb 3rd, 2013 at 1:24:39 PM PST by
Original
No, it doesn't say clad (or any word that begins with the letter "c"). I already made a note to this auction that it's not real, pure gold.

rdnskr is right by getting it tested and letting people know what the test showed it may not be what you thought but there are still collectors of items like this on here if I had the credits I would only because I have alot of stuff I collected when we lived overthere but I got started on here listed 1 item grandbaby went in the hospital and between 2 hospitals and 3 major surgeries we have been in them over 4 months now where we have spent Christmas and he had surgery the next morning then put in a drug induced coma which he is still in and his 2nd birthday was Super Bowl Sunday but the winner was my daughter who got to hold her son for the first time since she carried him down to the prep room for his first Surgery Dec 26th and with so many tubes and wires and 2 more major surgeries with him not healing well and blowing viens left and right they just felt its best we don't move him around much but for his birthday we were able to arrange her a gift to hold him what a wonderful day it was, he may be deaf but when she comes in from school and showers before she can come in the room puts on her monkey suit as soon as she speaks the monitors go crazy so they can say what they want but he knows when his mama walks in coma and deaf!!!! Welcome to listia, look forward to see future items!!!!

Do you have any idea what the base metal might be.

Unfortunately, I do not... but I can tell you that whatever base metal it is, it's not weak...

Feb 3rd, 2013 at 10:03:14 AM PST by

I don't remember the exact price, but I think I paid around $7-$8 for it.

@mawmawagela It weighs 1 ounce (like the title of this auction says), and it's solid gold (which is what the person who sold this to me on Ebay said).
