I thought I left a comment earlier, but don't see it. I, too, have fanned and am watchinig; would appreciate a fan back. Seeing you are in Florida, is this tree going to be ok in Zone 7-8? I know people have had them but I am not certain about in the immediate area.

I myself have lived in 19 different states in the usa and have seen them planted everywhere. My opinion Papaya Seeds do really well anywhere depending on the soil. I myself plant mine in well drained soil and give plenty water. I now live in New Mexico zone 7 a / 7 b and I am on my 5th year and get a good amount of Papaya .
