Description

The listing, Sony Vaio PCG-862A WORKS - BOOTS INTO WINDOWS has ended.

screen is 13 inches,, the entire laptop is pretty clean. no marks or scratches on the screen, keyboard is clean. it has usb port, vga, earphones and mike also a couple other that i'm not familiar with. it has a wireless ethernet card port. (again not familiar, may have another name), also comes with the power supply

also has a dvd rom. it boots into bios and windows. however the touch pad is not functioning. i don't have a wired mouse to test the mouse function.

as always when i ship i make sure the items are well packed so they don't move in the box and to be sure they have plenty of cushioning around them.

i ship via priority mail so don't flag!

good luck bidding!

Could you provide a picture with your username in it just to prove that you actually have the item? Also, is the only problem the touch pad? I have a Vaio right now that I'm using and it's touch pad doesn't work either, nor does the battery, power supply half the time, screen half the time and 75% of the USB ports are shot but I still can say Vaio's are great laptops. Very durable.

No you will just have to trust my feedback and the fact that ive been here a while. Wow you must use your laptop alot and must be quite rough with it. Im on my laptop nearly every waking hour and have no issues. It is very rare to have usbs fail. What are you doing with that thing? Using it as a frisbee? Unfortunately I cannot say what works or doesn't other then what is in the description. I tested what I could.

I do use it a lot, 4-6 hours a day. No, it's only been treated roughly by myself once. I have no idea what happened to the USB's, I reset them and they are a little bit better now. No, I've never used my laptop as a bloody Frisbee. >_>

whats the specs such as processor, hard drive space, ram and does it has cd/dvd-rom?
Feb 6th, 2013 at 6:42:30 AM PST by

It has a cd/dvd rom. Other then that your guess is as good as mine. As I stated the touchpad does not work and I dont have a wired mouse. It boots into windows, thats about all I know.

if it is running Windows Millennium Edition, or Windows ME it was launched on September 14, 2000 so that would make it a 2001. its probably running a Celeron or a Pentium 4 like 1.3 to 2.3 GHZ processor and something like 128 to 256 MB RAM there is a control function to turn on and off the Touch Mouse pad. it can be upgraded to windows XP but you will have to Upgrade the RAM to 512mb or higher i would say 1 GIG would be max for that model

Windows ME was often criticised for being buggy, slow and unstable. Windows ME, along with Windows 2000, were soon replaced by the NT-based Windows XP, which was launched on October 25, 2001. Support for Windows ME ended on July 11, 2006.[2]
