The listing, 1969 Topps baseball card lot w/ Jose Cardenal has ended.
Here's a lot of eight (8) vintage 1969 Topps baseball cards (NOT reprints). Please note this is a lower-grade condition lot, with all cards having creases and/or other issues. But then again, these cards are 44 years old. Neat bit of history, but if you're picky about condition, this is not the auction for you.
JOSE CARDENAL (OF, Indians) played for 18 years, putting up some great numbers with the Cubs in the early '70s.
LEON WAGNER (OF, Reds) had some nice years in the early '60s, including 1962 when he was 4th in MVP voting (behind Mantle, Richardson, and Killebrew) and was the All-Star game MVP.
BOB TAYLOR (C, Royals) "Hawk" had an 11-year career as a catcher in the majors, occasionally playing in the outfield and at first.
RICHARD (DICK) GREEN (2B, A's) played 12 years for the Athletics and won three World Series with them (1972, 1973 & 1974).
DENVER LEMASTER (P, Astros) was an All-Star with the Braves in 1967.
FRED LASHER (P, Tigers) was a key member of Detroit's bullpen when they won it all in 1968.
RUSS NIXON (C, White Sox) played for 12 years in the majors, then later managed the Reds and Braves for a bit.
MIKE EPSTEIN (1B, Senators) helped Oakland to a championship in '72, hitting 26 homers. His career best was 30 in '69.
