Is this machine washable or dry clean? What does it measure from behind, neck to hem? I'm trying to determine if it will fit my tall girl as a dress or a top. You describe it as "dropped waist" but it looks more like a shift style in the pictures. It is straight up and down, correct? A wide belt would look beautiful with this dress. Fanned!

Hi, Patty! This measures 32" from top to tail (neck to hem). I call it a dropped waist because at 19 1/2" there is a second panel of fabric to created the "dropped" look. It is machine washable - line or flat dry. There is smoking in my home, and this is a rural community where many people, including postal workers and shop keepers smoke. HOWEVER, I work very hard to compensate for that - my items are stored in a separate space away from the house with 24-hour air filtration and purification running. Items are also thoroughly cleaned upon receipt and again immediately before shipping. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for stopping by!
