hey, i think it'd be easier to explain to people if you say that this is a club nintendo exclusive. items on club nintendos website are not for retail sale, but as rewards for the fans who accumulate points. (Say for instance, a 50$ game comes with a code for 50 points-- in the US that is) This particular item is worth 450 points, or 450$ worth of accumulated game codes, which is the main reason for the steep resale values of these rare, limited nintendo items! I really do hope that this helps everyone understand about these straps and the reason for them being the price they are! If you ask me, that's a very reasonable GIN value, considering :))

These are so cool! I definitely agree that they are rare, I didn't even know about Club Nintendo, so I never would have even known these existed if you hadn't posted them. My kiddos would love these for their Wii!
