Please do not use any of my images again. It is illegal to do so under US copywrite laws protecting original creative publishing. If I see you use it again I will report the illegal use to listia.

I'm sorry you think I used your image but I haven't even looked at your page! This image is from google.com images!!

google crawls blogs to compile those image listings. That's why on every one of them it says "copyright restrictions may apply". It is up to those who would use those images to make sure they aren't breaking the law. By posting that on each image listing google covers their own back and passes the buck onto you in this particular case.

The identical image you are using is from my blog. There is no doubt about it being my image because I am the one that took the picture and edited in the words and posted it to my blog on February 3rd 2010. I don't believe listia would be considered a creative publishing outlit by the law(though perhaps lol), however a blog is considered such a one by law and so all original images posted to it are immediately covered by the US copyright laws. To use them without permission is illegal.

I am just asking that you consider asking in the future (that's part of why google provides the original page the image comes from, so you can make sure you aren't stealing an image someone doesn't want stolen). I would have given you permission without a thought if you had asked. No one has every asked though and I know of at least 7 listia users who have used this image in the last week.

Thank you for removing it and not using it again.

I would actually even be happy to send you a jpeg of a similar image with your screen name written in place of the code. I am just a little unhappy that so many used my image without being considerate and simply asking first. So I would really prefer that it was not used again.
