Description

The listing, ~*~* 10 MAGNOLIA TREE SEEDS~*~* GRANDIFLORA~*~* has ended.

These seeds are for the very beautiful Magnolia "Grandiflora" tree with very large white flowers. These trees grow very tall. The first pix is of the bloom growing in the tree, and the second pix is of the seed pod which contains all the seeds. (BTW---these blooms are very fragrant too). The third pix is of the actual bloom, which fortunately a very tall young man helped me pick---as these trees are VERY big! That last pix is a closeup of their beautiful and large leaves. When they described these Magnolia trees as "Grandifloria" they weren't kidding as they can grow up to 90 feet tall--"grandis" meaning BIG and "flor" meaning FLOWER. The seeds must be "statified" or kept in your fridge (in a moist paper towel until it is warm enough to plant them (and I have had the seeds outdoors here in California where believe it or not we had a cold spell with frost on the ground every morning!) I LOVE TREES! Happy bidding everyone!

Brandy_kay2012--first of all--where are you located? in my previous auctions I posted info.--- "TO GERMINATE--STRATIFY THE SEEDS IN A DAMP MEDIUM SUCH AS SAND, PEAT MOSS OR A DAMP PAPER TOWEL IN A PLASTIC TUB OR PLASTIC BAG IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR 3 MONTHS."--(However, I have had them outdoors here in Ca. for about 1 and a half months and we have had frost on the ground for that entire time) when it is time to plant bring them out into room temperature (about 70 degrees) and it should be alright for them to germinate. In addition I can send you some more info. on germinating them from seed.
