Vocalist Stephen Richards is sure to catch the attention of Faith No More fans with his schizophrenic vocal approach, especially on tracks such as "Mentobe" and "Believed."Love/hate contradictions and self-loathing are the focus of "I Am" and "Mirror's Reflection," while "Dragged Down" laments over a friend who has become an emotional vampire. The Mike Patton comparisons are unavoidable on tracks such as "Emotional Times" and the particularly mosh-worthy "1 Nite Stand." The high-strung, positive energy of "Smile" and the heartfelt "Now" show the many dimensions and diversity of a band whose finger is firmly on the pulse of modern heavy music.
