on a softness scale? how soft i s this? Good for next to skin?

I made a hat with mine - a secret to dealing with wool is that you can increase the softness by washing it gently in conditioner! This yarn is fairly soft, but not baby soft. I'd suggest not making an undershirt with it, it would probably be itchy.

yes, I have seen similar things out there. just because it's possible doesn't mean it's a good idea...though I suppose a soft cotton/silk blend yarn might not be the worst...
