The listing, Yellow Pear Tomato. Heirloom type, Organically grown, 2012 Harvest! has ended.
The Yellow Pear Tomato was first developed in Europe in the 1700's. It's around 2 inches long and actually pear shaped, looking like a small yellow pear. The fruit is sweet, and used raw in salads to impart that sweetness.
I harvested these seeds from the 2012 crop grown organically using hot compost-potting soil, worm castings, and no-till raised beds, just before the first frost. Seed has been separated from the gel by fermentation, and the seeds are hairy. Package will contian 40+ seeds.
Plants are regular leaf, indeterminate, and 10 feet long. Requires full sun, regular moisture, and rich soil.
