Just from reading the comments and with no research on this item, I know that if you have a standard (5 speed) vehicle you have to "bypass" the clutch in order for it to start, this might be what the 791 bypass is that some models require. Again, this is NOT professional advice on THIS item, but may help people that are attempting to find out if it is compatible with their vehicle. And just fyi most car places that do remote starts here in my city wont bypass a clutch to put one in because of the risk involved. If the driver leaves the vehicle in gear then uses the remote start, since the clutch is bypassed, it could leap forward (or backward if it is left in reverse) causing serious damage to any object (like another car, garage door, or God forbid, a person who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time), Just a good bit of advice I received when I looked into getting one put into my 98 Mustang GT 5-speed. I decided to not pursue it any further. BUT I am watching and going to be bidding (if I can raise enough credits) as a gift, or to use on my old truck, lol, Thanks for the awesome auction!! It doesn't say, anywhere on the outside, what it will or will not work on...so I would suggest that you google your own vehicle to see if it is acceptable of this unit? That's what I did for my car before I purchased this...but I just never got around to installing it...procrastination! Lol...good luck! And thanks!

I truly dont know...it doesn't say anything on the package about it...when I googled it, I found that some models require a 791 bypass (whatever that is? Lol) but but I'd didn't find anywhere that said this model required it...so, you'll have to use ur judgement...plus, look at it this way, if it does end up requiring the bypass, at least you won't have to spend the money for the actual starter (which is much more expensive!)
